DL3 Cares Future Leaders Career Pathways Academy
Preparing the next generation through partnership and purpose. We're building real opportunity for young people in Chicago to discover their futures.

Chicago Urban League
The Chicago Urban League is a historic civil rights and community-based organization dedicated to advancing economic, educational, and social equity for Black Chicagoans. Founded in 1916, the League works to remove systemic barriers and create pathways to opportunity through workforce development, entrepreneurship support, housing and financial empowerment, youth and family services, and policy advocacy—strengthening individuals, families, and communities across Chicago.
Equity & Justice
Advancing fair access to opportunity by addressing systemic and structural inequities.
Education & Leadership
Developing future leaders through education, training, and civic engagement.

Economic Empowerment
Supporting sustainable careers, entrepreneurship, and financial stability for individuals and families.
Community Impact
Driving meaningful change through collaboration, advocacy, and long-term investment in communities.
Building opportunity together
DL3 Realty marked 25 years of real estate excellence, and with that milestone came a deeper commitment to the community. The launch of DL3 Cares Community Foundation in partnership with Chicago Urban League, beginning in September 2025, reflects a belief that talent exists everywhere but opportunity does not. Through academic enrichment, career exposure, entrepreneurship training, and financial literacy education, we're opening doors for young people to see themselves in futures they might not have imagined.

Why it matters
"Spending time with the curious and engaged high school scholars in the DL3 Cares Future Leaders Career Academy was a powerful reminder that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Early mentorship and real-world insight can be transformative as young people prepare for meaningful careers and real impact. Supporting this program isn't just philanthropy—it's a strategic investment in the future workforce and leadership of our city."

In the classroom

Brittiny Martin, Career Readiness Coordinator at the Chicago Urban League, has served as a steady and inspiring presence in the classroom, guiding students through career readiness coursework, real-world skills development, and curating guest speaker sessions. Reflecting on student interests, Brittiny shared, “Many of our youth are interested in attending college and pursuing degrees in fields such as healthcare, STEAM—including graphic design, computer science, game development, architectural engineering, and photography—as well as law and business entrepreneurship.”
To date, the youth have created LinkedIn accounts and profiles, explored and planned goals for their future careers, networked to build reference lists, and learned how to effectively research employers prior to applying for positions. The Future Leaders Academy is helping them take meaningful steps toward becoming confident, career-ready young professionals.
